What we can do when the printing nozzle is not perfect?
People always found the printing nozzle is not good as it should be.
- some color nozzle missed, other colors normal
- nothing print out
- banding problem.
- overspay
Then they thought it should be head problems, head clog, do some wash,light,medium,heavy wash one by one to try, but no any luck.
Any standard steps we should follow?
In principle,we need troubleshoot problems from ink supply system parts,include dampers,cap top,head cables, then check your headboard and printhead.
From our experience,most problems caused by head cables and headboard.
Here I mainly talk about how they lead to the printhead fired.
Head cables,
- when you install your new head,or replace head cable,please operate under power off status.
- Before insert head cables to your printhead,make sure no any ink on the cable connection, why? because the dry ink will be electric conductor when power on,and lead to the head fired.
- Before insert head cables to your printhead,make sure the cables are flat,no any folded.
- insert the head cables to the printhead unerring
Headboard
If headboard damage,some chip short,which lead to the head fired with very high possibility.
Usually,only one or two colors cables on the headboard have problem.
Many customers cannot check the headboard problem,except replace a new one to check.
Yes, it need professional technology staff to check by equipment.
That is not the part we discussed on this post.
But how to check the headboard anyway, use the exclusive method.
For example: CMYK let's say A/B/C/D cables connecting from head to headboard, four channels.
If A channel nozzle test is bad,others are well.How to do?
- Move A channel printhead to B,C OR D, one of them.Because B/C/D nozzles are fine,proved cables,heads,headboard chip are all fine. If put A to other place without printing nozzle problem,which can exclude the head problem directly.If the nozzle problem still exist, the head had problem.
- Exclude the cables.very easy way, replace new one cause it is cheap, or exchange to other good channels.or move other channels cable to A position.
- Finally is the headboard problem.Get it to repair or replace new one.
